Officially known as the Swiss Confederation, Switzerland is a federal republic, with 26 cantons and Bern as its capital city.
Switzerland is of course most famous for its policy of neutrality however it also one of the richest countries in the world. In 2010 Switzerland also had the highest wealth per adult. In addition, the value of the Swiss franc (CHF) has been relatively stable compared with that of other currencies.
Generally considered to be the predominant private banking centre in the world Switzerland is estimated to be the home of 35% of global private wealth – indeed its reputation for private banking is legendary.
